Representation
A person elected or otherwise lawfully returned to the Hampshire Chamber is a Member of the Hampshire Chamber, abbreviated MC. An MC is a legislator representing the Chamber’s constitutional franchise and is distinct from a Member of Parliament, councillor, strategic-authority member, civil servant or HCG employee.
What Members do
Members take part in Chamber business, legislation, questions, debates, motions, votes, committee scrutiny, budget scrutiny and other parliamentary work provided for by the applicable procedure. Members may become ministers or hold another compatible office only through the proper constitutional and appointment process.
Member records
Published Member profiles can identify constituency, party or independent status, parliamentary offices, committee memberships, declared interests, contact information and recorded parliamentary activity where those records formally exist.
